Today is my good friend Bong's last day in DA.

We had a despedida inuman last night in Central. I didn't get to stay long though.

I'm sad he's leaving :(

After work, Bong and Glenda talked me into watching It Must Be Love (?). It wasn't that bad, hehe.

I will surely miss Bong. I am very thankful that I met him and was able to work with him. More than anything, I am very thankful that he became my friend. We got each other through a lot of difficult things these past few months, and I can say that I'm a better person now because of our friendship :)

I'm sure there are great things in store for you, Bong. I'm always here for you. Love you foreverrrr! <3 p="">

Yey Moonleaf! Yey Kinect!

I coerced invited my friends GT and Andrew to play Kinect with me in Katipunan today. GT had class until 8:30 and Andrew had work until 8:00 so I got to hang out in Katipunan for a while. I decided to go to Moonleaf, since I've never tried the Katipunan branch before, and was pleasantly surprised by this:

Moonleaf no longer uses plastic for its cups. This is good! I hope other tea shops follow their example :)
I ordered the Earl Grey Milk Tea. It was so-so, but still refreshing.

I regret not taking pictures of our Kinect session, hehe. I will next time. We had so much fun. :)

Happy Sunday again!

Sunday has become my favorite day of the week. It's when I go to the Feast and get refreshed by participating in worship and get empowered with amazing talks. After this, I go to my my small group with sisters and share my problems, experiences, and also listen to a Bible lecture from Tim. We also pray for each other. This has been my Sunday routine for quite some time now.

Last Sunday was particularly exciting because it was supposed to be the first time I got to attend as part of the Music Ministry in QC Feast. However, I had to go home to Laguna to accompany my mother in the hospital (She had a minor operation but she's fine now). Because of this disruption in my routine, I was a little shaken and sad.

But praise God! After parking our car outside the hospital, I saw a sign! There was a new Feast being built in Laguna, and its venue is in the 8th floor of the hospital! :) I decided to go there. My mom was still too tired to go with me though, so I went alone.

This is the smallest Feast I have been to (I've been to PICC and QC). I think there are about only 30 people there, but I had fun! The Feast builder there is Mr. Jon Escoto and ha gave a very powerful talk. Not that many people were singing along during worship but the choir members were singing their hearts out so I sang along with them. At the end of the session, I introduced myself as a first-timer and got to talk to the people there, including Mr. Jon Escoto. I also met an old friend from my Parish as a child, Kuya Ray. He invited me to join the choir.

I found it interesting to see a Feast during its "beginning" in the building process. I want to be part of it. I know I wasn't brought to the Laguna Feast by mere coincidence. I want to be part of the Music Ministry, and maybe even more. I want to invite my friends to go there. However, I already gave my commitment to QC Feast Music Ministry and I have my bar review in QC. Hmmm. I hope that things work out. :)

Nakakalungkot :(

We got our salary for the second half of February today (I know, it's late! It's always late.). I noticed that the amount was less than usual, but I assumed it was because I did not report to work for three days because of an overseas trip. However, my co-workers also commented that theirs were less than usual, even when they had no absences.

Apparently, the accountants computed our salary on a per day basis instead of on a per month basis, which is what's stated in our contracts. My co-worker said that this has happened before. I asked if they paid back the difference before, and was relieved to find out that they did.

And then I asked, "But what if no one noticed, where would the difference go?". "Sa kanila na yun", my co-worker said. This just made me sad. To think that these people work in the same building. I see them everyday. I smile at them and greet them even.

My co-workers and I are "job order" employees, as compared to these accountants, who are regular employees. We don't have benefits. No overtime, no sick leaves. Many of my co-workers have families to support with their meager salaries. It's just so disheartening, so disappointing to find out that these people, out of greed, would do such a thing. I can't believe that they would want to steal from us.

*Sigh*. I feel so helpless. I'm not even in a position to effect some kind of change. I guess I would have to stick a pin on this issue until I am.

Just the thought of singing for You again makes my heart smile :)

I finally got the courage to ask about the QC Feast Music Ministry yesterday! :)

I was only inquiring but I ended up having an impromptu audition. I was so embarrassed because I was wearing shorts, but the people there were so nice and gave me a warm welcome :)

I have five new friends - Tita Linda, Sir Chris, Ana, Virginia, and Ria. I am sooooo excited!!!

They said I's have to be part of the Intercessory Ministry for a month before I could sing on stage. The Intercessory Ministry meets every Sunday morning to just pray for other people. This is totally fine with me. Practice starts on Friday.
